Ron Paul money bomb: Nov. 5th October 27, 2007 -- On November 5th Ron Paul supporters hope to make history by organizing the largest single-day political donation event ever recorded. The goal is to bring together 100,000 people to donate $100 each, reaching a combined total of $10 million, which would put Paul well ahead of his fund-raising goal of $12 million by the end of the 4th quarter. The effort, which isn’t affiliated with Paul’s official campaign, is getting off to a good start, with more than 10,000 people subscribing in the last week. Moreover, word is clearly spreading, as the fundraiser’s website registered traffic of over 116,000 visitors on October 25 alone. You can check out the website here: http://www.thisnovember5th.com/ On Nov. 5th, toss Dr. No a hundred bucks and give him the boost he needs going into New Hampshire. You know he’s making waves when guys like Marc Ambinder are saying stuff like this in the Atlantic: “For the longest time, many journalists, myself included, did not take Ron Paul seriously. It wasn't that his politics -- a combination of libertarian constitutionalism and social conservatism -- were unusual. It was, principally, that he was anti-war in a party where that view dare not express itself. Paul is now emerging as a serious threat in New Hampshire, perhaps not to win it -- although the winner may need only 25% or so -- but to influence the outcome in a way that reflects his worldview.” Presidential candidate Congressman Ron Paul has raised an additional $2.3 million so far this month.
